  Hello comunity

  I have on a Windows SBS Server 2008 one installation of SQL server 2005 STD ED., but someone has install without full options, for examples , i don´t have server Agent and DTS deployment package.

  Well, i want to know if i can use the repair installation on control panel, add/remove programs to install all the funcionalities without loosing my database or any SProcedure or Triggers developed on them.

  Normally i make always a full backup database.

  In your opinion what the best practice to do that, my ideia or other one more secure an stable.

  You should be able to re-run setup and add in additional features.

  If you have a database backup, that's good, but an uninstall won't mess up your mdf/ldf. You'll just have to re-attach them.
