hi,
Is it beneficial by using single drive ( lets say D drive), and multiple file groups on same drive ( in my case D drive).
i have created database with primary file group. Now i want utilize paritioning functionality. And i have created two more file groups in same drive. If i use the partition for a table will be good or old is good?
or it can be possible and advantageous by using primary only for the partiotions.
How it will be useful to a query?
🙂

I would suggest using a seperate drive(s) for it will increase your performance.
