Database Mail, send email from Notifications

    I need to send email if job fails from notification option, When I select email I can't type email,it looks like I need to create account somewhere, what do I need to do?Thank you

    You need to create an operator.

    In SSMS, open the SQl Server Agent and you'll see an operators folder there. You can only select one operator for the email in job notifications, but you can put a group/shared email in as an operator so that mutliple people get notified.
