Interestingly enough, when I first started working with (mainframe) DB2 in the late 1980's , we weren't allowed to have null fields in the database unless there was a REALLY good reason.

Nice one, Steve! I spotted it about the time of "No more worrying....", and so was somewhat disappointed when I got to the spoiler at the end. Would have been so much more fun without it - waiting for the howls of outrage, deep longings for early retirement, etc.
