hi i was wondering if you can help me, i installed sql 2005 enterprise edition in my server, but i did not choose for the workstation components, so after the installation i did not have management studio, i only had the configuration client tools, but i was able to connect to management studio to the new instance created from my pc.
I tried running the installation again in the server , and just choosing installing the workstation tools but now it keeps giving me this error:
"There was an unexpected failure during the setup wizard. You may review the setup logs and/or click the help button for more information.
is in that part when installiing Visual Studio integrated Development....
i have also tried going to add/remove programs and removing sql server and then running exe again choosing everything, but again i keep having the same error and i only see the configuration folder in sql server programs in my server.
Can you please let me know what to do?

there should be a setup log that has more information for VS and SQL Server. It's usually a text file that you can read.
I'd remove all SQL server stuff if you can, remove the folders, and remove the SQL server keys from the registry, reboot, and try it again
