connecting to Oracle with network authentification

  hi

  i'm trying to connect to Oracle in connection manager...

  i can connect ok in TOAD by leaving the username and password blank

  but when i try to do this in connection manager, it gets the hump with "connection string not initialised" if i try my NTID it either say "null password" or "logon/password not valid" depending on the driver

  now, it's pretty simple with Sql server connections, there's just a tickbox for network authentification... but with Oracle i'm struggling

  can anyone suggest a few things to try?

  If the Oracle driver doesn't support Windows Authentication, you have to use standard logon name/password approach.
