Hello everyone,
I am using Vista. I want to study clustering. I have installed sql server 2008. Would this be possible for me to install clustering. Basically my straight question is whether Vista supports cluster admin.

To install sql server clustering you need OS clustering first and I doubt VISTA provide the same. you need a server.

There are ways to do this with Vista but you'll having a lot of work getting your cluster working and there is no garantee that you'll succeed. Windows Vista was never created to be set up as a cluster node.
If you don't have the hardware to test it you could install software for virtualisation and create two nodes to set up your Windows cluster. After that you can create your SQL cluster. You don't need a lot of harddisk space to create your cluster for testing purposes.
Here are some articles that can help you setup your cluster:

Please refer the below link for creating a cluster in virtual server environment. http://blogs.msdn.com/blakhani/archive/2007/12/31/how-to-create-sql-20005-cluster-on-virtual-server.aspx
