Hello Everyone,
I'm getting an error and could really use your help.
The error is as follows:
"Cannot use Large Page Extensions: lock memory privilege was not granted."
Here is the spec on my setup.
HP DL585 64 BIT
* 112 Gigs of RAM
* 1 Terabyte of hard drive space
* SQL 2005 (everything installed) with SP3
* Default instance with 4096 Gig of RAM assigned to it as I will be added more instances to this server.
* NOT clustered, just stand alone
My understanding is that this is not suppose to happen on a x64 bit server. Most sites have recommendations but for x32 bit servers. So I'm lost and need the help of the great people who come here.
Thank you in advance for all your help and support,
Rudy 🙂

I just noticed this error today and found this.
Good luck!

You still need to lock pages in memory for x64 systems. Grant that right to the service account and you will no longer get that message.

Hello Everyone,
Thanks for the info. I wish MS would have made this easier to figure out and even have a setting in SQL server to the you could just check off.
Again thanks,
Rudy
