I have nt/user and when i right click on user mapping for the databases it is saying it is dbo and schema dbo.
I cannot set it to nt/user any ideas...why this is happening.

The user in question is mapped to dbo, if you don't want the user to have DBO. Change the database properties, change owner to sa. Then you should be able to add the user in as normal.
