We've been using Linked Servers under Server Objects in SQL2005 quite successfully with SQL2000 and SQL2005 environments as well as Sybase and others, etc. We are moving towards SQL2008 and with the addition of one of these environments, I have been unable to establish the link to SQL2008 from SQL2005..
