  Have a string that I need to read from a flatfile and put into a package variable (User::en). I can read the string via DataFlow Task/Flat File Source.....however how do I input into my user variable?

  The Flat File Source Columns option has External Column and Output Column. I've tried putting my user variable as the output column....but it still comes up blank.

  Any help is appreciated. thanks.

  Add the variable in the flat file connection manager.

  - Select then flat file connection manager;

  - click on the propertiers;

  - select the expressions;

  - open de dialog box.

  - select the connectionstring optin.

  - add your variable.
