Currently I am using windows 2000 Advanced server SP4, with AWE enabled and it is using 8 gig of memory.
The new OS will be windows 2003, but it looks like the standard only uses 4 Gig, and the Enterprise version can use 32 Gig with PAE enabled.
Are there any considerations I should know about (apart from the extra money) in this? I am assuming a 64bit system will be wasted on my SQL 2000 32 bit.

W2003 R2 Standard can use up to 32 GB memory. You should check out other changes that came with R2 for W2003, they may also be useful.
Why are you not planning to move to W2008? SQL Server runs faster on W2008 than on W2003, especially on 64-bit systems.

Hi Thanks for the response.
W2003 Std only allows 32Gig if you go down the 64bit route, as I will be using SQL 2000 Enterprise 32 bit (64 bit causes too many issues with mail and dts)
Budget for this job is very limited at the moment, we do have another 2005 SQL server that we are using for all new builds
