  I have an SQL Server 2005 hosting two small db’s and I receive the Error 3023 message during the daily full backup. I get the error about once a month sometimes every two months.

  Also, when I get this error the two db’s take about one hour to backup when normally it only takes about 15 minutes for both db’s.

  I have not notices any problems, but wonder what could be happening. I am not running any ALTER DB or TABLE process while the backup is occurring.
