We are performing some disk maintenance. In short, I need to change the path for the maintenance plan log files since this disk is going away. I have changed the path for the Agent logs, but can't find a way to change the default path for maintenance plan log files. Can someone help me out?
thank you,
Tim

Open the Maintenance Plan In Management Studio and at the very top there is a little icon that looks like two reports (right next to Manage Connections). Click the icon and it will bring up the Reporting and Logging dialog box where you can change the path.

I have DBCC in the maintenance plan.
Where the DBCC output message log file will be created?

in the log directory created by SQL under your chosen installation path

I have an issue with the logging. The output is trying to write to K:\\Backup_ProdI1\\Result_Files\\MaintenancePlan.txt, even though I have selected K:\Backup_ProdI1\Result_Files\MaintenancePlan.txt as the output path through the Reporting and Logging dialog window. Why is SQL adding the extra "\" at each directory marker and more importantly, how do I get rid of it so my backups start getting logged?
PS... this is SQL 2012.

That is added due to the nature of maintenance plans and the XML behind the scenes.
It should have no impact on writing out to the log file so long as the path exists and permissions are in place for that path.
