Can anyone help me please regarding the below issue.
I have installed SQL server 2005 in my local machine. I have configured database mail. But I am unable to send the test mail. It is showing the below error:
"The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 3 (2009-04-08T09:02:46). Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 Unable to relay for sumanta.roy52@gmail.com)."
In databse mail configuration wizard, I have mentioned my outgoing mail server(SMTP) as my local machine name. Do I need other SMTP server to send mail?

Are you running McAfee anti-virus? If you are then the "Prevent mass mailing worms from sending mail" Access Protection rule is probably blocking Database Mail. You need to add DatabaseMail90.exe to the exception list for that rule. Other AV programs may do the same.
