We are having a problem I have not seen before and I need some help understanding it.
We have a SQL Server 2005 32-bit installation whose server has 12 GB with 8 GB of that allocated to SQL Server. When I run PERFMON, I see the 8 GB allocated and being used. The PAE switch has been set and AWE is enabled so, based on all settings and everything I see, the system is, and should be, using 8 GB of RAM.
The problem is in the SQL Server Agent Log. When the Agent starts up, it shows only 4 GB of RAM detected.
Any ideas why the SQL Agent Log is showing a different amount?
Thanks.

This is 32bit, right?
I wonder if SQL Agent has a limitation. Keep in mind that Agent is a separate system from SQL Server. It's a different process.
