Hi,
Could anyone tell me that how to connect to and how to import data from a Oracle source using SSIS Package (From BIDS) on a 64 bit Windows with 64-Bit SQL Server 2005?
Thank You,
Yours,

I would start at:
Microsoft Connectors for Oracle and Teradata by Attunity
As to whether they are 64-bit or even SQL 2005 SSIS, I can't say.. But this is where I would start..

Hi Elliott,
Thank a lot for your reply.
But I think the link is related to SSIS 2008.

I think in the cases of OLEDB providers I'm not sure whether there really is a 2005 or 2008 except for the SQL DB Engine.. The MS DB2 OLEDB provider is the same..

Hi Elliott,
Finally, I was able to connect to the Oracle datasource using BIDS on a 64-bit machine. In the beginning it posed a number of problems.
What I did was, I installed 32-bit oracle client , changed the environment variable path and executed the package at the command prompt using dtexecui. Everything went fine.

I'm like 99% sure that BIDS is only 32-bit, so it should work great with those drivers.. I just found this:
