Hi,
I am planning to install SP3 in a new SQL 2005 instance, not sure of this one but. Can we install SQL 2005 and apply the SP3 directly, or should we apply SP2 first?

Hi,
Service packs are cumulative. Each new service pack contains all the fixes that are in previous service packs, together with any new fixes. You do not have to install a previous service pack before you install the latest one.

James and Jerry,
Thanks a lot for the reply. I am now getting prepared to install SP3 directly 🙂
