i have created a SSIS package where it creates a flatfile from the database.(oracle)
i created a config file where i pass the connection string of Database and location of the flat file folder.
i get the below error

[Connection manager "connection1"] Error: An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E4D. An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle" Hresult: 0x80040E4D Description: "ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied ".

Have you double-checked that you passed the correct credentials?

Since it is not windows authentication i got to pass the userid and pwd inside the package.
i tried to use save password option also.
When i try to create a XML Config file, user id is carried forward but not the password

Have you tried specifying the complete ConnectionString property (with the password in it)?
