😛
Can someone direct me to a useful web site or send me a title of a book that is good to get started with SSIS ?
Hmm.. I already know a liitle bit and even managed to export data to a flat file. However, that was a just a one step process.
I am thinking of a book where they start from the basics and move to advance stuff.

Hi, I don't know what resources you've been using so far, but I found the MSDN tutorials a good start point.

A couple of blogs that have helped me out many times along the way.

I'm new here, but I'd imagine these forums are quite helpful too 🙂
HTH and good luck!

I checked JUMPSTARTTV. Too complicated. He goes real quick. I wish there was a place where we had step by step instructions and a tutorial.

I agree with steveb. I have the book he is mentioning - SQL Server Integration Services from Wrox and it is great. I used it to learn a lot about SSIS and use it as a reference as well. sqlis.com is great as well.

Either type in a SQL SELECT statement (preferred, but don't use *) or select a table from the dropdown (not so preferred). Don't forget to configure a connection manager.

Hi everyone,
I like the tutorial series of Marcin Policht at Database Journal. Nearly all tasks are discussed and explained with examples:
