Best thing to do would be to get the reporting services installed and then walk through the "Reporting Services Configuration Wizard" under start > programs > ..SQL Server 2005 > Configuration Tools. It will walk you through the integration with SharePoint. I have never done this personally but this has to be the first step for you to take. Post back with any errors that you get and I'm sure that others will be able to help then.
Thanks.

Iam installing reporting services in a new box.I selected database engine and reporting services to install. It is a named instance.
But the both Report server installation options greyed out?
1.Install the default configuration
2.Install but do not configure the server
In details button:
The prerequisite check failed for a default report server installation:First time install, the SQL instance is either not selected or is not a local install.
But all the system configuration check is went well.
what I have to do now?

Was that the error that you received as the prerequisite check failure? Is IIS installed and running on this machine?
Let me know. Thanks.

IIS is installed and it is not an error occured after system configuration check.
I attached the screen shot for better understanding. In the screen shot if we click details
In details button:
The prerequisite check failed for a default report server installation:First time install, the SQL instance is either not selected or is not a local install.

The screen shot you show is fairly normal. You should be able to click next and walk through the installation. Be sure to use the Configuration Wizard once the install is complete.

In which case the 1st option is enabled and 2nd is disabled?
In which case the 1st option is disabled and 2nd option is enabled?
In which case both options are enabled?
In which case boyh options are disabled?
Thanks

when you are doing installation on the machine if IIS is not installed then both options would be disabled.
