I realise that this possibly isn’t the most suitable forum to ask this question. But I haven’t had much joy elsewhere. Is there a quick way to determine what sort of RAID configuration a server has ?

Ask the guys who built the server would be my first suggestion 😀
Depending upon the hardware vendor they may have tools that can be installed on windows that can retrieve that information for you (assuming that this is local disk)

As Nicholas mentioned, this is handled at the hardware level. The software usually has no idea there is RAID. It just sees a disk. Unless the hardware vendor installs some tool that can view what's configured, there's no way to tell.
