I am running Windows 2003 Enterprise with SQL 2005 Enterprise in an active/active cluster. Both nodes have about 16GB of data and ample amount of resources. When I run them on separate nodes, they are SLOW. When I move them both to the same node, they are faster.
Any ideas from a cluster/resource/administration point of view?

How you have configured the max server memory settings for both installations? I believe awe is enabled.

Check your cluster networking and interconnects between the nodes. You might have some networking issues....
Can you define what's slow a bit more?

I wish I could define slowness, I have just heard that it is "noticeable". I hope to have access to the system tomorrow to experience what's happening. I'm troubleshooting for the client. I've asked for verification on the PAE and AWE, but haven't heard back if visual confirmation has it set yet.
While I'm waiting to gain access, I thought I would throw this out, as it didn't make sense that combining instances would make it go faster than on different nodes. Again, it didn't matter which node they both shifted to, only if they were sperate, were they slow.
