Hello guys,
this is the first time involved in migrating data from oracle to SQL server 2005.
Please,
For your info Oracle is a system version 7 running on Unix Sun Solaris.
The import relates only to some tables, not the entire database.
How can I perform this task?
Thank

I've got no experience with Oracle, but SSIS is designed for these types of tasks.

Sure that you can do it with SSIS, but if you have new versions like Oracle 9i or 10g or 11g yes you can do ti without anyproblem! Anyway with the old version from 8i etc it is some probem during migration for the datatype issues! It dependt from the structure of the ORA DB and the data inside it! I has some similar problems from Oracle 8i to SQL Server 2005! But I'm sure that these problems are solved with Oracle 9i and above!

Also, you can setup Replication from Oracle to SQL Server.
