Archive file and rename it and truncate the old file

  Hi,

  I have a excel source which is a source file in data flow task. After the data flow task, I need to archive it to a different folder and rename that file with current date. Then, I want to truncate the original excel file. I am trying accomplish all this using file system task...But renaming the file using expression is possible ? Is it possible to truncate the excel source file ? I only have one file...

  Any guidenace will be appreciated..

  Hi,

  I am able to rename task using FileSyetem task by creating two more variables for this.

  I achieved truncation of file by copying blank template file after archiving, so it keeps the data flow task transformation mapping.

  If you have any other solutions please suggest and share.
