Hi All,
We have sql server 2005 64 bit enterprise edition and we have a ram 3 GB. But i checked out the task manager and i saw that sqlservr.exe is using aroung 9 GB. Why is that?
I should set the min/max setting? and how to avoid this problem?
Pleasse help.

You should always set max memory on a 64 bit server. If you have 3 GB physical memory, set SQL's max to 2GB, no more.

Hi Gail,
I will set the maz memory to the 2048 but how about the min memory? and if i set the max memory to 2048 does that affect the sql server performance?
