Go into the package configurations dialog and create a new configuration. Browse for an existing file. When you have selected the existing file, you will be prompted to create a new one or re-use the existing file.
Remember that your configuration file has the paths for the objects in it. So, if you have several connections in the config file, you need to have all of the connection managers in all of your packages as well as making sure they have the same names.
