SQL Server startup and Database startup

  • I need some information about the phases that SQL Server goes through when it is started and a database is opened.

    Any help or link will be appreciated.

  • There's a very detailed look at this in one of the chapters of the book "Practical troubleshooting: The database engine", edited by Ken Henderson. The book's well worth buying.
