Un-Install Cluster 2000 only one node

  In a SQL Server 2000 Cluster, 2 nodes, can I un-install one node and separate the machine?

  Does un-installing The 2nd node causes any issues on the 1st node?.

  The basic rundown is this:

  Run SQL setup and remove the node you want from the sqlserver-perspective of the cluster.

  Start Cluster Admin and evict the node you want from the MSCS cluster.

  There are articles in BOL, Technet & MSDN on how to 'break apart' an existing clustered system.
