Hello folks,
Is it necessary to restart SQL Server after changing the master databases compatibility mode to 90?
Thanks,

No, you don't need to cycle SQL Server.
Ellis, when you perform an upgrade from SQL Server 2000 to 2005, and there are custom objects in the master database - the upgrade will set the compatibility mode of the master database to 80.

Yes exactly - it is because we upgraded from 2000 to 2005.
Thanks all for your help.
