We are palnning to upgrade our SQL 2000 to 2005.
We purchased a 64 bit hardware and planninng to install SQL 2005 64 bit and upgrade some of the apps.
Do I need worry about the apps that will work with 32/64 bits ?

The apps are IIS based intranet pages or, third party SW purchased from SW vendors.
Example Bighand Workflow Server, Enterprise Vault Services or http://www.hrpro-online.com/ etc

the 64 bit database backend should be transparent to the apps. SQL is SQL.
However check with the vendor that their app supports sql2005 as a database platform

you are absolutely correct. The apps see only the listening SQL version, not the architecture it is running on.
Anyway, I just got the confirmation from you as a proof.
Thanks

To be absolutely certain you should check with the vendor.
