Hi,
we are moving our prod server from Sql server2000 to SQL server 2005 database. In the process we need to change some link from Oracle(this link is feeding data to sql server 2000 db at present). the group handling Oracle side has it configured to use SystemDSN setting, using SQL ODBC driver for 2000. Later they use this DSN to connect from Oracle. When they try to define DSN using SQL ODBC Driver for 2000 and connect to the new SQL Server 2005 DB, the connection test succeeds but this DSN link fails if used from Oracle.
In Short, what oracle group is looking for at this time is an ODBC driver to connect to SQL Server 2005 DB to define a System DSN.
If you have any question, please don't hesitate. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Thanks.
Mukesh.

Not sure exactly what errors come up as a result
but you should be aware of the SYSWOW (Windows on Windows emulation ) From Microsoft
The \Windows\SysWOW64 directory is where 32-bit system files are installed. 64-bit system files are in the \Windows\system32 directory for compatibility reasons.
if your applications are 32bit that is where to look
