i configured sql mail but its not sending mail when required job fails

- with sql2005 it is advised to switch to DBMail.
- Can you find a error notification in the job history ?
- Can you find a error notification in the SQLAgent.out file ?
- Can you find a error notification in the SQLServer errorlog file ?
- can you post the job create statement ?

Hi,
After your configuration, have you tested by sending a test email from the sql server.
Post the exact error message, which helps to find the bottle neck of the problem.

In the properties of the SQL Server Agent, what is the "Alert System" setting for Mail Session ? Enable Mail Profile should be checked. This was my problem a while back.
