Hi,
Our backups run locally and the last step of the backup job is to run a bat file to copy the backups to another server. I just set up a new server and can't get the job to complete successfully when called from sql agent. I've set the agent to run as a specific user with network privs to copy the files. When I call the bat file as that user outside of SQL it runs without issue. I'm getting the following error when running the job step from within SQL agent:
"The process could not be created for step 2 of job.....(reason: a required privilege is not held by the client"
any ideas? Thanks!

Hi SO,
Can you please verify that you have set everything as outlined in the following MS KB?
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q283811
(Check all manual steps)

Ok, call me dopey....
I changed the service account through Windows services instead of config. mgr. I went into Config. Manager, changed it back to admin, let the service refresh, then changed it to the user I wanted, let the service refresh again, and now it works like a charm.
Thanks for pointing me to the article! believe it or not; i had found that article but the registry changes scared me off the first time.
