Dear All,
I have installed sql server 2005 standard edition , now i'm going to install(not upgrade) sql server 2005 Enterprise edition.
I have to copy all the jobs that i created on standard edition , so that i planned to take the backup of msdb from standard edition and restore that on Enterpriseedition.
Is this possible.

No it is not possible because to restore system databases you need to have the same build and same edition. Sometime back I tried this in Sql 2000 enterprise edition to developer edition but it failed stating that edition was different..

Im not sure, but you can try this. If you Install the Enterprise Edition on the same box then you can transfer the jobs using SSIS's Transfer Jobs Task, it will be available in Control Flow Items.
