Hi all,
i have this problem in one of the server.
When i tried to create any maintence taks/jobs it gives out error telling that job creation failed.
after googling out i found that, it happens when ssis is not installed during installation.
when before i point out to the persons who installed it i want check wether it is really installed or not
plz tell me how to check it?
thanks in advance.

Check SQL Server Integration SErvices in installed in the services window.
In SQL Server configuration-> click on SQL Server 2005 Services and check to see for SQL Server Integration Services Service.

[font="Verdana"]Hi,
What is the error message you are getting while creating maint plan?
I hope you can create main plan and jobs with installing SSIS..
Anyhw you can check the same by checking availability of integration services.
*) Goto Run--> Type sqlservermanager.msc and press enter
*) Goto SQL Server 2005 Services, you can find it in the left pane
*) Make sure "SQL Server Integration Services" service is installed and running successfully!

I guess the easiest way is to to the Start - Programs - Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and then look for SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio.
Also check Add/Remove programs for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Applications. I have no other VS2005 tools installed on this test box, so I am assuming thats the BI dev studio.
