Error no. 233 shared memory provider error in sql server 2005

    Hi,

    When i tried to login in to SSMS i am getting the error

    "A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error

    occurred during the login process. (provider: Shared memory Provider,

    error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.) (Microsoft SQL

    Server, Error: 233)"

    Pls tell me wat to do for this.

    Waiting for the reply asap.

    Do you try to login from remote computer or you run SQL Management studio from the server itself? Shared memory only would work if you login from the server itself. Check in SQL Configuration Manager if other protocols enabled (TCP/IP).
