hi
first post on this website so please take it easy on me.:)
We have a clustered server which has SQL Server 2005 sp1 (version 9.0.2153) sitting on it. We are having a specific problem and need to upgrade to sp2 cumulative package 4 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941450/. I know sp 2 is cluster aware but can't find anything regarding the cumulative package. Has anyone applied this patch? Do they know if I'll have to apply it to both nodes?
thanks
Stuart

I'm running cumulative update 5, build 3215 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943656). You apply the update to the primary node of the cluster. Do not stop the cluster service or any SQL Services prior to installation. All nodes of the cluster must be restarted after installation.
Builds that were released after SP2:

You asked whether you needed to apply the patch to both nodes. What you did not tell us though was how many SQL instances are on this cluster. If there is only a single SQL instance on the cluster then the previous post is correct.
