Hi,
I have read the "Picking Service Accounts" article and yes you guessed it we are running most of our SQL servers as a local admin account.
On new SQL installation we have no problem as the SETUP takes care of this, however, in an already existing SQL 2005 server environment how can I change the account to a normal user account and not the administrator account? Is there an tips on doing this?
Thanks

Use SQL Server Configuration Manager. It should take care of any permissions the designated account requires. All you should have to do is type in the name & password.
