Is it possible to logship from a SQL Server 2000 database to a version of the database on SQL Server 2005?

Interesting question. I'd think so because you can restore a db from 2000 to 2005.

Steve, Thanks for the response, if that is the case could I use log shipping to migrate the database from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 in order to minimise the downtime of the application during switch over? The DB is around 130GB I don't have a time frame/ window yet but I know my client will want to keep downtime to minimum and I thought this may be a possible way to acheive this.

Hi,
You cant configure log shipping between SQL 2000 to a SQL 2005 server, becuase you can't restore log backup from SQL2000 to SQL 2005 server.
