moving columns from one table to other

  i had a table 'NY' with 4 columns

  col1 col2 col3 col4

  now i have other table 'ABC' with 2 columns

  col1 col2

  i jus want to move or copy one of the columns from abc table to ny table ...

  plz let me know urgent ,....i have added the new column in ny table and i coudltn know what to do
