Now it seems that I have difficulty to add DTS in one job category, can you tell me what's the procedure. I cannot do it now.
Thanks.

Not sure what it is you're trying to do ...
Schedule a DTS or change the job category of a DTS?
If you're trying to schedule a DTS you have two routes (one good, one bad)
1) Right click the DTS and pick schedule
- This is bad, because it encrypts the DTS package name which makes things harder in the future (although there is a way to decrypt them)
2) Use DTSRUNUI from a run line to create the syntax for your job step and create the job manually
If you're trying to change a job category ...
- Open the job, change the category in the drop down box for Category.
Is that what you're looking for?

Hi Adam,
I am trying to schedule a job.
enterprise manager-->management-->jobs-->new job.
on the general tab, on the drop down menu "category", I was able to pick up a DTS package I created before.
What I am tryint to ask is: now I created a new DTS package and I don't know how I can add this new DTS in this drop down menu which I did before and I don't remember how to do it now.
Thank you for you patience.

Ok, well the "category" is nothing more than a descriptive line to inform someone what "type" of job the job is. This has no effect on anything except logical organization.
So are you trying to schedule a job to run a DTS for the first time?
or
Are you trying to change the category for an existing job?

Hi Adam,
I got it. In Data Transformation Services-->local package->right click on it-->schedule package. then that's it.

Ok cool, but as stated in an earlier post, this encrypts the DTS string in the job step. I'd recommend using DTSRUNUI to get the non-encrypted string and replace that in your job step. This makes for easier maintenance in the future.
