I'm running sql server 2005 servicepack 2 build 3042 (32bit)
has anyone had any problems with this hotfix????

this was a real can of worms and I can't remember which rollup you need to apply post sp2 to avoid all this. Personally I never use these type of maint plans always creating my own, so not an issue for me. I think you need something like release 3160, sorry can't remember off the top of my head - I'm currently testing 3179 prior to release to production - this hopefully fixes a cache problem.

There's a rollup from last week that's post SP2. Test and apply that.

If you are on 3042 you want KB934458 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934458/. KB934459 will references this as well.
I use this on all SQL 2K5 installations and have not had any problems yet. This will take you to build 3054.
But I would still recommend you test before globally applying in your environment.

Agree with David, we are currently sitting at build 3054 for all our SQL 2005 installations after applying kb934458 and haven't had any problems since it's release.
We are now reluctant to move to a later hotfix unless absolutely necessary as it took a little while to find a good solid build.
