running SQL Server 2008 and 2005 side by side

    Hello!

    I was wondering if I can install/run SQL 2008 and 2005 side by side with SQL 2005 being default instance. Any issues with that?

    You can do this, but 2008 is not even feature complete and there will be changes coming in CTP6. I'd highly recommend you not do this. Instead get Virtual Server/PC and install 2008 in a VM.
