What are general problems faced during dev to prod restore

    Hi All,

    I am a 6 months old SQL server DBA.....i have no much knowledge about restoring databases from DEV to PROD. and i have an DEV to PROD restore coming up into my court in a day. I am tenced and i really need help from you SQL server gurus.

    so Friends can you list out the things which i need to take care of when these kinna restores occur. And what sought of problems may i face let it be any type.

    please help me out.

    ok assumming the DEV means a development environment, and PROD means a current production environment.  Why would you want to overwrite your production environment with what you have in development?

    database is getting into prod for first time.
