fast load option ?

  Hi,

  Can someone tell me more on what exactly is different when you upload a table with the "fast load" option in a data flow task ?

  I understood that using this option :

  a) a table lock is taken on the table

  b) a bulk copy is used

  Are there any other disadvantages (except for the table locking) ?

  I had some data loss by using fast load. Rows had been imported but did only contain NULL values.

  My workaround was to limit the maximum commit size to 100k rows.
