SQL Server is filling the Application Event log with messages like this:
CPU time stamp frequency has changed from 379822 to 315162 ticks per millisecond. The new frequency will be used.
How do I turn off this message? It occurs every 5 - 30 minutes. I'm running Developer edition on my laptop.

I'd assume that is comming from the CPU slowing down or speeding up to save energy.

Yes, I'm running on a laptop. I hate to change my power settings because sometimes I work without the power cord attached (briefly, this thing has terrible battery life) and the laptop already gets very hot on occasion. I wouldn't mind the messages if the event log didn't keep filling up! I'm not about to conduct performance testing on this machine--that would be pointless.
Is there any way to tell SQL Server to stop reporting this condition?
