Hi All:
I've heard that SQL 2000 performance is better on Windows 2003 vs 2000. Has anyone else heard of anything like this?
Thanks

might be with regards to hyperthreading.. ..windows 2003 works better with hyperthreading than 2000.. ..but then again it's a debate whether you turn hyperthreading on for sql anyway..

Why is it a debate to turn on hyperthreading?
Thanks

Quite honestly from a performance standpoint I see no great difference in the operating systems. Although, I have never done a same hardware/install on one vs. the other. At this point, if the choice is yours, go with Win2k3. It is more up to date and does offer some stability issues.

For whatever it's worth, I ran across this article. Highly recommending 2003 over 2000
