Log shipping - Require step by step procedure in SQL 2000

Hi,
I had tried so many procedure for Log shipping in SQL 2000. Its happening source server only but not happens in the destination server- Need step by step procedure in SQL 2000 to help my schedules.

If you have enterprise edition, it's included. There's a wizard and menu item.

If you don't, it's simple. Backup logs, copy them to the destination server, restore them with NORECOVERY.

If you tell us what's not working, clearly explain it, we can help.

Agree with Steve, use the wizard if you have enterprise edition.

We had Enterprise edition in a previous company but they still decided on a manual process using VBScript to pull/push log files from a control box. It was messy (not my design - just dumped on me before a guy left the company) but it worked...

I used an article at sql-server-performance.com to do manual log shipping b/w 2 SQL Std 2000 server. Worked perfectly. Search for log shipping when you go to this site.

You may want to consider third party packages that manage log shipping. Check out sonasoft and http://nadsolutions.com/default.asp

If you do only have standard edition of SQL 2000 google for 'Installing Log Shipping for SQL 7.0' by Natasha Huggins. Works also on SQL2000.

Its from the BORK (Back Office Resource Kit), has full functionality, is simple to set up and monitor, and works a dream.

I've used it for years without problem and as I have migrated to SQL 2005 and the logshipping supplied with that I kind of miss the old girl.
