When bytesReads and bytesWritten from fn_virtualfilestats are reset to 0

    Hi,

    When bytesReads and bytesWritten from fn_virtualfilestats are reset to 0.

    I have collected info from virtualfilestats for dayn and I collected for dayn+1 and I found that :

    dayn dayn+1

    BytesReads 12000 3500

    BytesWritten 10000 3200

    Commonly for dayn+1, the values have to be bigger.

    It's ok, when Sql Server is restarted.

    So if we find a value of BytesWritten/BytesRead inferior from the one of yesterday, it means that sql Server has been reset.
